Dark Mode

• Choose Light, Dark, or System appearance from the theme menu.

Elevation Graph

• Drag to zoom into the elevation graph, then use Reset zoom to return to the full link.
• Hover over the selected link on the map to highlight its position in the elevation graph.

• Improved LIDAR loading reliability and memory usage when switching between links.
• Fixed LIDAR elevation display when filtering outliers or resizing the graph.
• Fixed errors when changing radio devices or loading projects with outdated antenna settings.

We further enhanced fiber cable color customization capabilities.

You can now change the colors of fiber cable segments (network graph branches) within your project, allowing for better differentiation and visualization of various parts of your network.

• Simply click on any cable, choose ‘Change Color’ from the menu, and apply your custom color to all lower levels of the network hierarchy.
• You can assign custom names to your colors via the ‘Library’ (accessible through the top-right icon in the color pop-up), making it easier to categorize and manage different types of fiber cables. For example, you can label colors as ‘Aerial,’ ‘Underground,’ ‘Planned,’ ‘Constructed,’ or any other classification that suits your project needs.

Bugfixes

• Fixed a regression by restoring the bottom panel in Street View, which we believe can be useful for tasks such as verifying LIDAR data.

• Enable customization of fiber cable and device colors for each OLT port
• Add support for importing fiber devices from UISP
• Add support for exporting fiber simulations to KMZ
• Introduce a radio switcher for multi-radio devices to facilitate checking the expected performance of secondary (backup) radios
• Update the tower database with the latest data

Introducing Fiber Design in UISP Design Center

Our team has been hard at work to bring you a free fiber design tool built-in to UISP Design Center complementing your wireless deployments. This new addition allows for mapping OLTs, fiber paths, splitters, and ONUs. Signal levels are auto-calculated based on splitter ratios, distance, upstream/downstream direction, transceiver models, and connectors. Check out the latest updates in the UISP Design Center.

Getting Started with Fiber Design

• Select Placement of OLT

• Place Cluster of ONUs where needed - This can be used for general high-level planning or MDU/MTUs with multiple ONUs.

• For more granular planning, detach ONU from the cluster and place as needed on the map.

• Manually change the splitter ratio as needed.

• To manually add an ONU right-click on the map, click Add ONU, and connect to the desired splitter.

• To populate a new PON Port right-click on the map, click Add ONU, and connect directly to OLT.

Helpful Tips

• Right-click on the fiber path to create a new splitter or waypoint. 
• A waypoint can be locked to prevent automatic path movement on the map.
• If the ONU is moved, the fiber path will occasionally, automatically place the fiber path back to the center of a street. It is best to place the ONU first, then adjust the fiber path as needed using waypoints. 
• ONU placement will generally follow a street path.

This release introduces RF Noise simulation for 5GHz links — simulate Noise Floor on both sides of the link to see effect of noise on link capacity (slider bar works similarly to how rainfall simulation depicts capacity). Highlighted 5GHz AP models (i.e., most noise resistant models) include Rocket PRISM & LTU-Rocket.
